With the approach of the Canadian Ultimate Championships in Victoria, B.C., the tournament organizing committee and apparel partners needed a strong visual identity to support their marketing, event identity, and branded apparel.

As the first formal event identity and design program for the Canadian Ultimate Championships, the stakeholders wanted to capture the energy, excitement, and passion expressed by the 2,000 amateur athletes making the trip from across Canada.

The identity, inspired by crashing waves on the British Columbia coast, was applied across printed and digital channels, including apparel, the first bilingual event program, signage, “swag,” and the tournament website.

The finished event identity and design was well-received by the organizing committee, volunteers, and most importantly, athletes, who considered the tournament to be highlight of their playing career.
